Toyota are about to spice up the hot hatch scene when the new high performance variation of the Yaris gets unveiled at the Geneva motor show in March.
Based on the 3 door Yaris hatch this version comes packing more than 156kW (210hp), most likely from a 2.0 litre turbo petrol engine making the Yaris a solid competitor against the VW Polo GTI, Ford Fiesta ST, Peugeot 208 GTI and the Abarth 595.
Clad in Toyota racing colours this Yaris also benefits from sportier wheels with lower profile tyres, the addition of stylish aero upgrades and improved bucket seats. Full specs and details are still under wraps until the unveiling where the Yaris will sit alongside the WRC spec rally Yaris which makes its racing debut at the soon to be held Monte Carlo Rally.
