The 9th of February saw a different breed of machine fill up the Melbourne Airport Long Stay Car Park for Fitted Festival’s 6th incarnation. If you’re a connoisseur of variety then this was the event for you as the range of heavily modified machines on show encompassed some of the best elements of modified car culture.
Within the festival we came across excellent examples of Australian and American Muscle, classic and modern rotary’s, European and Japanese hardparked stance, cruise / drag / sport bikes, hot-rods, European exotics, bagged mini-trucks and more.
The family friendly event had plenty on offer once the day kicked off with numerous giveaway’s from the event organisers as well as PWR, XForce and Dazz Designs.
Of course pictures tell the story of a thousand words so let’s start off with a collection of stanced out Volkswagen’s.
The classic’s were well represented with both stock and modified examples on show.
Don’t let the tame looks take you in, there’s some serious rotary muscle shoehorned into these engine bays.
The Australian car scene was definitely represented strongly from classic right through to more modern examples.
As time ticks on the Japanese car scene has continued to evolve and improve with ever more cleaner examples popping out of the woodwork.
You don’t have to be a bike nut to appreciate the work that’s created some truly unique machines.
The number of different tuning styles on show was impressive with many surprises hidden around the venue like the US imported Buick Regal or a bonkers Mitsubishi Magna rocking suicide doors and see through rims.
