After the successful introduction of the range wide engine update in 2016 BMW has further enhanced the new 2 Series Coupe and Convertible range with the addition of visual flair, style and technology.
The new model can be easily noticed by keen eyes by the Bi-LED headlights featuring a bi-circular design that are now fitted as standard to the 220i and 230i models. Top spec M240i M Performance models are graced with hexagonal design Adaptive LEDs as standard.
Updated front bumper designs sport LED fog lights as standard where the luxury line equipped models feature and upgraded front apron with larger intakes that draw focus to the kidney shaped grille.
The rear end gets the LED treatment with one-piece LED tail lights contouring in the BMW familiar “L” formation.
“Compact rear-drive coupes and convertibles have long been part of the BMW DNA,” said BMW Group Australia CEO, Marc Werner.
“The 2 Series Coupe and Convertible have always been seen as dynamic leaders in their segments, and this latest update adds further desirability with sharp looks, a high-quality interior and a strong mix of performance, dynamics and efficiency,” he said.
An additional four new alloy wheel choices are now available, three 18 inch alloys designs for M Sport equipped models or as a no cost option for the M240i and the one additional 17 inch alloy design available for the 220i Luxury line.
Three new paint colors expand the total choice to ten with Sunset Orange metallic, Seaside Blue metallic and Mediterranean Blue metallic all joining the 220i and 230i Luxury line.
The latest iDrive6 infotainment that launched in the new BMW 5 Series is now standard across all 2 Series models. Inside new design stitching can be found supported by Pearl Chrome trim finishers, chrome window button elements and the high gloss black center console. For models equipped with leather trim the no cost option of Dakota leather finished in Cognac provides further choice.
