BMW and Westfield JV creates 40 free charging stations

A total of 40 electric vehicle (EV) and plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) public charging stations have been opened throughout 10 major metropolitan Westfield shopping centres in a joint venture from BMW Group Australia and Scentre Group.

The charging stations are available to all EV and PHEV owners and allow free charging for customers at the participating centres which are located at:

New South Wales

  • Westfield Bondi Junction
  • Westfield Chatswood
  • Westfield Miranda
  • Westfield Sydney
  • Westfield Parramatta
  • Westfield Warringah Mall

Queensland

  • Westfield Carindale
  • Westfield Chermside

Victoria

  • Westfield Doncaster
  • Westfield Southland

As part of the partnership Westfield customers will be able to explore the interactive BMW i3 displays that will tour the various Westfield centres that outline the sustainable and green features of the BMW i3 as well as the underlying technology that makes it all possible.
