For 2017 Mitsubishi Australia is introducing a range of active and passive advanced safety features for their Outlander SUV range. The top model Exceed will add forward collision mitigation, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control and an automatic high beam feature as standard. All of these features will also be available as a safety pack for the mid level LS Outlander.
Entertainment upgrades are also on course for the 2017 Outlander with smartphone connectivity upgrades via Mitsubishi’s Smartphone Link Display Audio (SDA) and digital radio.
The entry level LS 2WD models with CVT gain additional seating capacity with 7 seats and 4WD Models will come standard with an electric parking brake.
The whole range will benefit from continued research and design by Mitsubishi bringing LED lighting to the front foot wells, LED-lit centre console box and a 12V socket in the rear cargo area.
Mechanically the 2017 Outlander comes with several suspension alterations designed to improve comfort and stability. The shock valves have been adjusted to provide improved body control with new rear toe link bushes also adding improved lateral rigidity. The front struts now operate with lower friction with improved damping for a better steering feel with the rear shocks tweaked for better stability and ride comfort.
