It hardly feels that long but the Honda CR-V has been with us for 20 years already and is one of Honda’s most popular models holding the title of the world’s number one selling SUV from 2013 to 2016. The fifth generation CR-V is now available for sale in Australia with prices starting at $30,690 (MLP).
As standard every CR-V will come equipped with a 140kW VTEC 1.5-litre turbo engine with Earth Dreams Technology matched to a CVT, smart keyless entry, Active Noise Control, dual-zone climate, alloy wheels and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.

For the first time ever the CR-V will be available in a 7 seater configuration as part of the VTi-L grade. Various configurations of 2WD and AWD fall under a simple five grade line-up:

Honda’s recently upgraded 5-year unlimited kilometre warranty applies to all new models including the CR-V that when matched with the Honda Tailored Servicing program allows owners to know exactly how much a service will be priced at when serviced at any Honda dealership.
Bumping up the safety specs even further on the CR-V is the inclusion of the Honda Sensing suite of driver-assist technologies which includes Forward Collision Warning and the Road Departure Mitigation System. The driver-assist technologies on the CR-V also include Adaptive Cruise Control with Low Speed Follow, Lane Departure Warning, High-beam Support System and Driver Attention Monitor depending on which grade is selected from the line-up.
