2017 upgraded Subaru BRZ pricing and specification announced

The new 2017 Subaru BRZ sports coupe is now available sporting an attractive list of improvements over the previous model. The manual BRZ will be listed at $32,990, over $1,230 more affordable from the previous model year with the automatic coming in at $34,990, a saving of $1735 on the 2016 model, both before on-road costs.

The big question on everyone’s minds is just what improvements will be made to the 2017 model? Alongside the all new facelift also come performance improvements with power upped to 152 kW and torque bumped up to 205 Nm for manual units and improved suspension all around.

The full list of improvements from Subaru are as follows:

  • New LED head lights and tail lights
  • Significant engine refinements in manual transmission models
  • Vehicle Dynamics Control TRACK mode
  • Hill Start Assist
  • Wider and lower look from new bumper design
  • New 17-inch alloy wheel design
  • Fully automatic air-conditioning
  • New steering wheel
  • Upgraded infotainment
  • Enhanced instrument gauges
  • Cabin upgrades, including red stitching and BRZ-embossed front seats (option)

Colin Christie the Subaru Australia Managing Director said: “BRZ is an even more compelling package when you consider the upgrades to specification at less cost to customers.”

“Despite exchange rate pressures, our strong relationship with the factory has produced a great result for BRZ fans and that’s reflected in the volume of showroom interest since we teased the specification upgrades in August.”

With multiple awards under its belt, the BRZ has proven itself with niche sports car fans who value its driving characteristics, value and safety features offered in every new Subaru.

The 2017 Subaru BRZ is available for order now with deliveries slatted for November.
